HOW FAR TO THE BEACH?

Mace House is not on Pawley's Island itself, but on the shore of the tidal creek or marsh that separates the island from the mainland. The beach is on the island. (Please be a good beachgoer!) To reach the beach, you can take a boat at high tide, or drive back to the highway and down to the south causeway (about 6 miles from the house to the public parking on the  island).
