PREPARE FOR HURRICANES
Mace House is fortunate--hurricanes don't often hit our location. But there's always a chance, from early August to mid October, so we'd like to help you plan ahead if you come to Mace House during hurricane season.
Keep track of the weather:
The Weather Channel here is 21
Good websites are http://www.nhc.noaa.gov
and http://www.wunderground.com/tropical
The NPR radio nearest us is at 90.1, but it may be hard to get--try to find any station that is giving frequent updates.
Come prepared to evacuate people and pets:
The number for the Georgetown Red Cross is 843-546-5422--they can tell you about shelters (if necessary) and emergency transportation.
